i have adult ear tubes, placed 11/4/19. i constantly experience loud rubber snapping/drumming sounds when i chew, walk, burp, or sneeze.  also i hear my heartbeat loudly in my ears frequently, as well as pain, discomfort, itching & dizziness?

Dislodged?: Sounds like at least one tube has dislodged, and is no longer effective resulting in your symptoms. While you may benefit from a decongestant, see you ENT for a review to check the placement of your tubes.

can you use methylated spirit to clean your itching ears?

Maybe safe, but: There is no question in my mind about white vinegar being the better choice. I'd dilute it 1:1 with water. It's very successful at stopping itch - even better than hydro-cortisone creams. It will sting less too and stinging skin that is already irritated doesn't sound good. Best!

Infection : May be an infection of the outer ear passage called otitis external. You could try some drops containing alcohol which you can get from your pharmacist. However it may be more prudent to see your doctor to get a definitive diagnosis. Good Luck

Itching ears: You can have an skin condition called atopic dermatitis and that can cause dry cracking in the ear canal you will feel an itch. There are medicines that will help. I use steroid drops as it flairs and that helps.

Cortaid (hydrocortisone): A little Cortaid (hydrocortisone) cream on external ear canal might help.  Stop using qtips also!

Debrox : Debrox eardrops are used to soften earwax so that the earwax can be removed.  It has no use in treating an itchy ear.  Your symptoms sound more likely to be from irritated skin in the ear canal.  You might consider seeing your physician.  He might place you on cortisone eardrops which will soothe the irritation of the skin and relieve the itching.  Best wishes.

See ENT doc: i recommend you see ENT doc.  Systemic diseases would be most unlikely to cause unilateral thumping sounds. A multitude of ear diseases could. Pregnancy would not obviate need for this evaluation—and you're certainly less busy now than you will be after childbirth!

Ear itching: It could be irritation from the ear bud, ear wax or just dry skin.  First thing, i'd avoid putting anything into the ear including earbuds, fingers, and especially q-tips.  Q tips are notorious for packing wax into the ear and irritating the sensitive skin of the canal.  Wax impaction can cause the itching you're describing, so i'd have your doctor take a look inside, clean out any wax.
