Debrox : Debrox eardrops are used to soften earwax so that the earwax can be removed. It has no use in treating an itchy ear. Your symptoms sound more likely to be from irritated skin in the ear canal. You might consider seeing your physician. He might place you on cortisone eardrops which will soothe the irritation of the skin and relieve the itching. Best wishes.

Debrox: Not a good idea. Debrox is a cerumenolytic agent. Helps soften impacted or hard ear wax. Could cause chemical inflammation of the canal skin. If ears are itching more likely they are dry and without cerumen. Appears to non-infectitious external otitis. Could try applying OTC Hydrocortisone 1% cream, circularly, with q-tip to outer portion of the ear canal. If this does not work, see ENT for micro
