: Yes you should be knowledgeable and concerned.  You have what today is described as Stage 1. Hypertension.
Optimal at your age is a BP of 120/80 or slightly lower depending .  However, you recognize that you are overwt, and perhaps have not adopted a lifestyle of exercise (minimum of 150 minutes/week) and prevention.   Other inherited risk factors, diet and the environment ... all affect your BP.

Probably not: Although, elevated blood pressure can cause an array of symptoms in a person, burning/tingling/pain in the toes/fingers is less likely to be caused by it especially if it is chronically elevated at this level. Abrupt blood pressure elevations (so called hypertensive crises) may transiently cause some unpleasant sensations in the body primarily headaches etc. I'd look for other causes, neuropathy.

what is the norm for kidney cortex thickness?  i think mine was measured at 4mm.  is this dangerously thin?  this is due to high blood pressure.
