Typically both kinds of flow are seen during the exam.

A Necessary Evil: If you have been comfortable with a routine pelvic exam,the probe probably shouldn't be too uncomfortable,keeping in mind that it is a rigid structure that will feel slightly cold.And the person doing the exam will hopefully guide you through it and be sensitive to your responses.A relaxed posture &amp; calm,trusting mind will help,or as has been said in the past:"Close your eyes and think of England"

Fine: The ultrasound dating of a pregnancy is based on the fetal measurements so, if the ultrasound dating agrees with your dating based on your last menstrual period, the baby is just the right size. : You did not give enough helpful information, like why the ultrasound was done. The report is just telling about blood vessels in the inner linning of the uterus but could not tell the cause of it. It could be probably due to when in the cycle of hormone it was done rather than something to cause anxiety. Anyway it is not emergency, so wait to discuss with your gynecologist for definitive answer.

In theory only: have never seen or heard of it in over 30 years. perhaps if ultrasound was done shortly after a hysterectomy and opened the cuff.  would think it would require considerable force.

The more: severe the endometriosis, the more likely it will be seen on ultrasound.  However, in mild cases, the ultrasound may be normal.

Please : Please get another opinion.  If you have failed all conservative treatment, then a laparoscopy may be indicated.  Write down all of the treatments you have tried, and also let them know if you have failed oral contraceptives, Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, and lupron.  Ask what all your treatment options are.
