Ask your dentist/OS: Possibly.  But I would go by the post-op instructions of the your dentist/OS whom extracted the tooth/teeth.  Make sure you do not drink through a straw...sucking in can actually affect healing and can possibly result in a dry socket.

Yes: Safe. Please make appointment for wisdom tooth removal. And please make sure you're seeing your Dentist for regular care...don't skip visits. Also your child (congratulations, by the way) should have his/her 1st dental examination at eruption of 1st baby tooth, but no later than 1st b'day. Consider seeing a Pedodontist, a pediatric dental specialist.

: You have been asking many questions about your oral health, which is a good sign of your concern for maintaining it. As long as the extraction site is healed and no opening is present, than you can get the scaling and root planning. You must maintain good oral hygiene afterwards.

Safe procedure: It is normal to be apprehensive for wisdom tooth extractions.  Sedation by an or al surgeon is a commonly done procedure and is safe.  Make sure you have informed the oral surgeon  of all you health conditions and medications.  This will help insure that everything will be as safe as possible.

Not yet : I tell my patients to wait 2week before brushing in that area, and no rinsing for 48 hours! not doing these things can cause problems. Happy new year!

Safe but not healthy: You may eat anything that you can consume comfortably. Usually a soft diet is followed because your jaw is sore. You can eat greasy foods but they are generally not good for your health(heart).  If nauseated from surgery,  greasy and heavy foods  may make you ill. Do drink extra water.

is it safe to take florastor (sacc boulaardi) after wisdom tooth extraction, or will the yeast get into my bloodstream through the open wound?

Capsule? Pill?: If Florastor is a capsule, like I suspect, then you shouldn't have any problems as long as you swallow the capsules whole (as they are meant to be). By swallowing the capsule intact, the yeast won't be released until the capsule coating gets dissolved, which occurs in the intestines (the stomach acid starts the process but the yeast is released in the small intestine). I think you'll be safe. GL!

i got my wisdom tooth extraction yesterday, after that i rinse my mouth with water because of the blood, is it safe?

Normally, Yes: Unless specifically told not to, we normally tell patients to gently rinse with warm water beginning the day after any extractions. You can add salt to the water but studies are divided on whether the salt actually does anything.  It is normal to see a slight amount of blood in when you spit for 2-3 days after an extraction as well.  When in doubt, contact the doctor that removed the teeth.
