Very unlikely: I wonder if the patient had a diskitis, an extension of subacute osteomyelitis of vertebra to "disk."  affected children often refuse to walk or limp. Older children complain of back pain.  They usually run low-grade fever.

Today!: Yes it sounds like you probably have osteomyelitis again or infection from some other source.  If you can't get in today with your orthopedist or one of his colleagues, go to an urgent care or the hospital ER your orthopedist is associated with so they can call on-call orthopedist if necessary and get your MRI results. Yes...: Although rare, it can happen.  Once the bacteria are inside your body, they can travel through your blood vessels and infect different areas of the body.

Osteomyelitis: is a bone infection. Why would jumping on a trampoline cause a bone infection?? I do not think the child has osteomyelitis based on the history given.

i was told i have 2 tiny sclerotia lesions on my spine. getting a bone scan soon. can these be osteomyelitis from a very resent knee replacement 4 months ago?

Nonspecific finding : Sclerotic lesions on a radiograph are areas of increased bone density and are very nonspecific findings.  The typical osteomyelitis is not diagnosed radiographically by simple sclerosis.  A bone scan reveals evidence of active bone turnover and therefore may suggest an active process such as injection. Taken in isolation, a small sclerotic lesion not likely to indicate osteomyelitis.

: Jaw pain can come from several things, I don't think you will get a specific answer to your concern using this forum. It requires an in-person examination. I wonder if it is nerve pain or a referral from somewhere else. I suggest seeing a primary care doctor, best an internist who is the most trained to care for adults. They can see the entire picture , do a good examination and consider referrals

what are the signs of osteomylitis in the upper maxillary jaw. 1 doctor thinks i have it & 1 doctor says i don't! so i am going  to get a 3rd opinion. my symptoms  are cheek bone pain, ear pain, teeth/extraction site pain, & pressure. no fever.
