Longus plantarflexes the 1st metatarsal, to a tear can result in hypermobility and instability which can lead to hyperpronation and plantar fasciitis symptoms.  Now, if you're talking about posterior tibial tendon dysfunction/tears, then for certain there can be a relationship.

Trauma/age: Pttd or tear is very common in females. It is usually due to activities, flat foot, shoe gear and possible hormonal changes and pregnancies. The reason why the inside of your heel hurts, it is due the pathway the tendon travels. If MRI has been done and a tear is detected, many things could be done. Bracing, orthotics, and surgery can help. See a podiatrist.

Plantar fasciitis: There are several things you can do on your own.  But, if they don't work, you will need to go to the podiatrist for help.  Stretch your calf muscle, ice your heel and arch, take an NSAID if you don't have an allergy/intolerance, wear a very good supportive shoe with a good quality otc arch support, avoid barefoot or flat shoes.

Achilles tendinitis : This is the area wear the Achilles’ tendon is attached. If you did not bruise the area tendinitis is then considered. Wearing high heeled shoes on regular basis can shorten the muscle/tendon.   Stretching the muscle properly may help.     heel lifts to both shoes may help take tension off the tendon. Icing and anti-inflammatory medication( ibuprofen or Aleve can help.

If that's the case a rubber sole for your shoes is very effective and can be purchased from your local pharmacy ... Choose the best one if you go for it ... Obviously reducing weight on foot and less work is a must as well ...

An indicator: Back off on the use  of the foot.  When you experience pain it is an indication that something is wrong.  So wherever you have pain you want to change what is causing it. If you have inflammation from tissue damage you need to let it heal.  If it persists seek care.  I hope that helps.
