when my mouth was messed up i tried several oral surgeons. i have ins and money. i get turned down due to legal liabilities. i just want these wires out of my mouth they stick me and slide around bad. iu school of dentistry will not help?

Apples & Oranges: Dds & dmd are equal degrees given by different dental schools. Oral surgeons are specialists  with 4 years of added training. Prosthodontists have 3 years of training beyond dental school and focus on crowns, bridges, dentures & implants. Your implants should start with the restorative dentist to plan the position & occlusion of the final restoration. They will suggest whom to place implants.

: One that is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society for Plastic Surgery with at least 10 years of experience concentrating on breast surgery. Look for before and after photos of their work. All of our members at Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery have this experience.

Freedom of choice: The important issue to consider here is to have the surgeon and the restorative dentist work together as a team for the best placement of the implant and best function and esthetics of the final restoration. Make sure you are selecting the surgeon for the right reason!  Just be open, honest and courteous.

What you want ?: Your bone that is required to hold the implant , bone is receding has to built . You you can afford , wants your own teeth rather than dentures , go for it speak to the surgeon  prognosis.

is it true removing breast implants is very simple, yet finding a surgeon who is expierences in removals are more difficult then ones to put them in?

Yes: Removal of recently placed implants, ie., less than 10 yrs old is fairly routine. Older implants which are ruptured and calcified can be an true surgical ordeal. Bleeding and hematoma are always a concern so choose someone experienced individual.

i have tooth sensitivity for the past 2 month adjacent to the implant. i showed it to my surgeon and he said its normal and will take . i am confused ?

Ask: Ask the surgeon to go into more detail as to why you feel sensitivity and how long to expect it to last. We can only take guesses as to what's causing it and whether or not that is normal or not. Sorry.
