Estrogen in menopaus: There are several types of Estrogens available to treat menopausal symptoms. The benefit of topical estrogen is you avoid passage through the liver. The conversion of estrogen in the liver can lead to increase cholesterol, blood pressure, risk of blood clots. Estrogen is safe , however, depending on your health history may not be. If you have your uterus you should be on progesterone.

: Yes, if the lesion is consistent with an abscess which is usually acute onset, localized tenderness and swelling with or without constitutional symptoms such as fever, fatigue, etc. However, inflammatory breast will be a different issue and biopsy is indeed indicated. Good luck.

Need to : Re-evaluate. Call your doctor and discuss your concern. Always early intervention , better prognosis . Does not hurt to get it checked out again.

Likely breast tissue: It is very common for breast tissue to extend into the underarm. The premenstrual swelling is very common. Unfortunately mammograms do not pick up underarm lesions well. If you can feel a mass u should see your doctor. She or he can reassure you that it is normal or otherwise.

: Unlikley that a cancer lump develops overnight but it could be there and not noticed until suddenly one day. Getting tests and a biopsy is the best route to go.

This is recommendation of the american cancer society, the american college of radiology, the american college of obstetrics and gynecology, as well as many others.
If one has relatives (specially first-degree relatives) with breast cancer in young age, screening should start earlier.
