Take care of it: See your physician- you may have to be on treatment, appropriate ada diet, regular exercise, pay particular attention to feet and regular eye check up. It is not end of the world. With diligence, you should be able to handle well in future.

: Everybody with diabetes should be "worried". If you're not in medical care or if your diabetes is not in good control (as measured by blood glucose levels and A1c hemoglobin levels), see your doctor soon and follow whatever treatment advice you are given. Good luck.

65 year old male with type 2 diabetes and coronary artery disease. historically low testosterone. a test 6 weeks ago showed a level of 77. after 1 month of .5ml injected 1x week a retest shows testosterone at 1500! something is not right. suggestion?

: It could be with the weekly dose x 4 doses. 
Your doctor will reduce the dose frequency to achieve an average level around 300-400. Too high level of testosterone can increase risks of some testosterone-dependent diseases.

Diabetes & 12yo: Type 2 diabetes is caused by either low Insulin or the body is resistant to the effect of insulin, regardless of age. A common factor causing type 2 diabetes is obesity. There are also other hormone disorders associated with diabetes like cushing's. I suggest that you get professional help as untreated diabetes has severe long-term affects. You need good sugar control. Best wishes.

Normal glucose...: ...For a child with type 2 dm is the same as for anyone else: about 65-105 mg% fasting, up to about 130 after a meal. Trouble with diabetes is, you don't get normal levels.

i am a 57 year old female with type 2 diabetes.i have lost about  100lbs. a doctor told me that i  wouldnt lose anymore. what r ur thoughts?

Depends: It depends on your current weight and your ideal weight.  With diabetes, it's usually not a question of possibility (of course you can lose more) but of safety.  Regardless, the closest you are to your ideal weight and the closest you are to a stable normal blood pressure and blood sugar, the better.  You may even get to go off your diabetes meds (i've had patients do that).

i'm a 26 year old female with a family history of type 2 diabetes. im overweight (bmi 30.8) and carry most of my weight in the belly. i have been getting skin tags since my weight (covering most of my neck). is skin tags a sign of insulin resistance?

No: Skin tags are not a sign of insulin resistance and can occur in any one whether they are diabetic or not

Yes: Over weight is a high risk factor for diabetes.

Start changing your lifestyle with regular exercisa-

Walk x 30 minutes

Low carb diet- low glycemic index foods may be taken.

i am 58 year old male with controlled type 2 diabetes..a1c 6.0. some protein in latest urine test. was started on cozzar is this advisable?

Yes: If your urine contains microalbumin or larger amounts of albumin, it is recommended to take an Ace inhibitor or an ARB like cozaar for kidney protection and hopefully prevent progression of kidney damage.

is it normal to have trouble urinating (weak stream and delay) 24 hours after discectomy (62 year old male, type 2 diabetes)?

Possibly: If so... These are likely to be caused by post op inflamation and should resolve over a few days.... If they continue you should contact your surgeon.
