I am 58 year old male with controlled type 2 diabetes..a1c 6.0. some protein in latest urine test. was started on cozzar is this advisable?

Yes: If your urine contains microalbumin or larger amounts of albumin, it is recommended to take an Ace inhibitor or an ARB like cozaar for kidney protection and hopefully prevent progression of kidney damage.
