Depends: It depends on your current weight and your ideal weight. With diabetes, it's usually not a question of possibility (of course you can lose more) but of safety. Regardless, the closest you are to your ideal weight and the closest you are to a stable normal blood pressure and blood sugar, the better. You may even get to go off your diabetes meds (i've had patients do that).
