Take care of it: See your physician- you may have to be on treatment, appropriate ada diet, regular exercise, pay particular attention to feet and regular eye check up. It is not end of the world. With diligence, you should be able to handle well in future.

Treat it: Listen to your doctor's advise and learn as much as you can about diabetes. There are many effective treatments currently available to control this condition. T's important to know that you might need to make some lifestyle changes to keep your blood sugar under control for the rest of your life (lose weight, portion control, eat more fruits/vegetable, be more active, take meds as prescribed)...
