Please repost: Please repost and explain what you mean by "subdued" reflexes. Also do you have any other symptoms that are suggestive of MS? Why are you concerned about it?

i have subdued leg reflexes (think knee) and eye floaters. is this likely ppms?

Just no. No.: This isn't primary progressive multiple sclerosis. About one person in 500 or so just doesn't have deep tendon reflexes. My neurology professor in Med school did not have any. Eye floaters just aren't MS. Many normal folks have them. Get on with your life, gain skills, exercise, make friends, get out of difficult life situations,, strive to be happy. wife has ppms. would clenching of jaw and grinding of teeth also be another symptom of ms?

PPMS -Oral Symptoms: Good day;
   Primary progressive MS would certainly cause extreme stress with subsequent clenching of the jaw and tooth grinding. Would prescribe  soft occlusal guard to relax jaw muscles and occlusal equilibration (bite adjustment) to keep occlusal scheme even.

hi, i was recently diagnosed by a neurologist with ms based on my symptoms ppms other conditions already been roll out and normal mri which needs to be repeat in 1 year, is it okay to ease the symptoms with natural remedies?

MS:  We really don't know much about your condition, nor which natural remedies you are considering. I would encourage you to discuss the specific remedies you have in mind with your neurologist or your primary care physician before starting it.  Stay well.

hi, i am still waiting for confirm diag of ppms, at the same time i suffer from c migraine during the migraine attacks l.eye becomes watery, blurry can't see colors can't see clear & last for hours. are these symp part of ms or something else? thanks?

: Your eye and visual symptoms are more consistent with a migraine attack than caused by PPMS.

: If you truly do have proven MS, and indeed it is primary progressive, medication approved by FDA is available.  Did you have lumbar puncture, or spinal cord MRI, or blood testing for NMO??  Suggest you get a second opinion, and preferably find an MS specialist.

hi, based on mri of brain and findings of white matters i was diagnosed with ppms, no treatment plan at this time. is this normal? thanks also is it possible to have lesion on spine and other parts of your body which mri won't be able to detect? thx?

: Since both Ocrevus and/ or Kesimpta could benefit a person with PPMS, strongly urge a second opinion.  Why is there an issue with an "MRI won't be able to detect"?  This is the "gold standard", but the  3 Tesla does a better job at detecting more lesions, as contrasted by the 1.5 T.

if u have peripheral neuropathy & demylination on ncs does this point towards, or away from, als and ms? i've been terrified that i have als or ppms.

Depends: Peripheral nervous system demyelination is not common for either MS nor ALS.  Nonetheless, if you have had NCS/EMG, it is assumed a doctor ordered it, so perhaps a discussion with the physician would be appropriate.

have chronic migraine for 13 years started with weakness on the right side, for a year now i have all the symptoms of ms, all tests neg. is it ppms? can i see a internal medicine doctor instead of a neurologist? thanks

this numbness on my right side in the right lumbar region of my abdomen has a feeling of numbness much like when a limb falls asleep except it doesn't have to tingle. there is no pain when i press and also no other symptoms. i do have ppms. ?

Sudden numbness: Could be sciatica equivalent,  or early shingles ( though usually there is pain)  rarely lyme  or MS. Would test for lyme  and herpes  -acylcovir  helps for  shingles . MRI head would identify MS  and MRI LS spine would note if there is evidence of nerve compression( not all with  compression are symptomatic) . If all is negative  consider CT abd /pelvis to see  if anything else  f/u/ w /doc
