Sudden numbness: Could be sciatica equivalent, or early shingles ( though usually there is pain) rarely lyme or MS. Would test for lyme and herpes -acylcovir helps for shingles . MRI head would identify MS and MRI LS spine would note if there is evidence of nerve compression( not all with compression are symptomatic) . If all is negative consider CT abd /pelvis to see if anything else f/u/ w /doc
