i had my gallbladder taken out a yr ago and i constantly have diarrhea. wat should i do? and i have really bad cramps in my lower abdominal area.

Small, low-fat meals: Your gallbladder stores, concentrates, and releases bile - which help your gut absorb fats from your diet. With it removed, your system cannot release a large amount at once to digest much fat at once, so the excess is passed through your system and out in your feces.

Try smaller meals, lower in fat. And also make sure you are getting vitamin a, d, e and k levels checked by your doctor.

Post op gallbladder: Diarrhea is an extremely rare side effect of gallbladder surgery.  This is due to inadequate amount of bile to digest food.  Medical supplementation of bile salts is always the answer but you need to see you doctor and rule out any other source of you pain such as a surgical complication.

34 yrs old.  no gallbladder for 8 yrs now.  diagnosed gerd. chronic yellow liquid diarrhea after lunch every day.  bad cramps.  nauseas then goes. why?

Maybe it is: alkaline gastritis.  Ask your doctor for referral to a gastroenterologist.  Sometimes a trial of sucralfate is helpful, depending on your gi specialist's recommendation.

Possible but: not likely.  Diarrhea is most likely caused by colon problem.  Or it could be food intolerance affecting your colon, such as lactase intolerance.  Consult with a gi specialist.

Detail Hx &amp; Physical: After cholecystectomy, patients have reported post cholecystectomic syndromes which includes, abdominal symptoms, dyspepsia, and diarrhea. Some patients who underwent cholecystectomy experienced diarrhea, which could be associated with the malabsorption of bile acid Go easy on the fat. Avoid high-fat foods, fried and greasy foods, and fatty sauces and gravies for at least a week after surgery.

Irritable Bowel: Sounds like irritable Bowel Syndrome. Need to see a gastroenterologist to help you better get to the bottom of these symptoms. Gall bladder is not high on list of possibilities with these symptoms.

abdominal mri found a "fluid filled gallbladder with no gallstones" & a 1 cm cyst in liver-can it b cause of nausea, diarrhea, rt side pain for 3+ mos?

Unlikely: If you have no gallstones and your common bile duct is the normal size, then it's probably not your gallbladder.  A small liver cyst is likely to be incidental, and probably wouldn't cause your symptoms either.
Go to see your local gastroenterologist for a further evaluation.

I'm sorry: your doctor doesn't know what to do.  You've given little information, but if you have a  negative calprotectin, it's likely that you don't have inflammation in your intestines.  ASCA IgG is very non-specific, and serum IgA was probably checked to make sure your celiac panel was valid.  With a full history and more labs, it would be easier to figure you out.  Cholecystectomy may cause diarrhea.

i was discharged from the hospital after a biliary stent was placed due to bile leakage, and my biloma was not drained. feel abdominal pain / diarrhea. gallbladder fossa fluid measures 5.5 x 7.8 x 5.9cm. should it have been drained? how to proceed?

: The doc who treated you will decide - so pl see him/her. Small collections often get absorbed, If not they can be drained by a needle . good luck

abdominal pain won't go away since friday.  no fever or diarrhea.  feel like a fist stuck there.  burping..aspirin like taste comes up. hurts more when lying down all the way though my back. appendix and gallbladder removed when i was 21..now almost 57.

Stress???: are you under any stress, that will do it.

take anti acid like Mylanta alternating it with pepto-bismuth.

avoid greasy food, and eat light, hydrate yourself well.

try to reduce any stress and relax

you might be having irritable bowel syndrome.
