Duration : Focalinxr has 6 hour duration at most. Usually a second dose given 4 hours after the first will prolong offset symptoms. Other things you can do are: feed her on offset; exercise her on offset; don't make demands for an hour or so to minimize triggers during offset. See your doctor for medication titration.

It all depends on the test they use. With a basic screen, amphetamine like drugs will look like the same things. If they do more sophisticated analysis, that's not the case. Now, the difference between Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) and Concerta is minimal. They are the same molecule, but Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) is the right-handed "dextro" isomer of methylphenidate vs Concerta which is a "racemic" mixture of left and right handed isomers. The dextro is considered to be the most active. If you're on Concerta, the urinary metabolite is d,l ritalinic acid. With focalin, (dexmethylphenidate) just d-ritalinic acid.

No: To detect d,l-methylphenidate (Concerta)  or d-methylphenidate (Focalin) a quantitative LC-MS/MS test and critical-frozen specimen are required. Urine should be collected within 8 hours of dosing, and blood (serum/plasma) within 4 hours of dosing. These tests do not distinguish between d- and l- isomers of methylphenidate.

Typical daily doses of dexmethylphenidate are around 20-40 mg for children &amp; 40–60 mg for adults. A maximum of 80 mg can tolerated.
