Duration : Focalinxr has 6 hour duration at most. Usually a second dose given 4 hours after the first will prolong offset symptoms. Other things you can do are: feed her on offset; exercise her on offset; don't make demands for an hour or so to minimize triggers during offset. See your doctor for medication titration.

Focalin-XR: Not unusual to see "poop out" where effect of slow-release stimulant wears off by early to mid-afternoon. Discuss with the prescribing doctor possibility of supplementing with regular-release Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) lower dose during that time of washout.
