Can you take Aspirin: The best solution to tendonitis is rest, ice and nsaids (non steroidal anti-inflammatories).
Also, if it is on the outside or inside of the elbow it could be characterized as golfer's elbow or tennis elbow and can ebenfit from a brace.
There is now NSAID in cream form -- this is called PENNSAID or voltaren; this is available by rx only though.

Yes: Tendonitis can either be associated with an underlying break or symptoms of what is presumed to be tendonitis may actually be those of a un-recognized fracture. Likewise for ligament sprains. So if there are unresolved symptoms a plain x-ray, at the very least, is called for.

Not much help: I don't think that elevating your arm is going to help much with a tendonitis unless this may help your shoulder by placing it in a different position.  I would suggest over the counter advil or aleve, (naproxen) with some stretching and light exercises.  Without knowing the exact location of your tendonitis, it is difficult to give any more precise advise.

Without an exam: It's not possible to diagnose the problem. You could have a nerve issue, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis or other overuse injury. Perhaps inflammation due to recent illness, or even autoimmune arthritis (which is rare in your age group but not unheard of). The best thing to do is see your family doctor, pediatrician or sports medicine and get diagnosis, so you can figure out treatment.

Steroid injection: You may a disease called dequervain's tenosynovitis.  It is tedonitis of the wrist.  It is common after pregnancy.  I would try and see an orthopaedic surgeon, especially a hand surgeon.  If this is in fact your diagnosis, you might be a candidate to a steroid injection.

Not really: Tendonitis is inflammation of a tendon sheath (the tight passageway where tendons glide). A sprained wrist is an injury of the ligaments of the wrist. Tendons move joints and are attached to muscles. Ligaments connect bones to other bones across joints. Both can happen after trauma (a fall or twisting injury), but a sprain doesn't happen over time like tendonitis can develop.
