Not much help: I don't think that elevating your arm is going to help much with a tendonitis unless this may help your shoulder by placing it in a different position. I would suggest over the counter advil or aleve, (naproxen) with some stretching and light exercises. Without knowing the exact location of your tendonitis, it is difficult to give any more precise advise.
