having night sweats everyday since i began to  take vitamin c supplements. could taking vitamin c be the cause or should i check other factors?

Look elsewhere: Hi. Anything in high enough level can be toxic, but that's not likely for vitamin C. New onset night sweats is not normal and should be evaluated by a physician. It could be something as simple as the heater is on too high or you're using too many blankets, but also consider inflammatory, infectious, neoplastic, and metabolic causes. I don't think it's the vitamin C.

am taking .75mg of levothyroxine in mrng hour b4 bfast. doc told me to take vitamin c, d & multivitamins each day too can i take them in mrng or night?

Better at Night: Vitamin c ; d are probably ok to take in the morning with your levothyroxine, however multivitamins typically contain calcium and iron which both can bind to levothyroxine and decrease it's absorption.  I would recommend to take your levothyroxine by itself in the morning.

i take vitamin c 1000 at night because i tend to get sick easily. can the effects of vitamin c wear off if you take it too often?

No,they donot: You can take it any time but once daily is enough.The body does get rid of it fast and it is not stored in the body...So it has to be taken daily.

Under normal: situations, 500 mg of Vitamin C is adequate. Too much of it may lead to kidney stones over several months or years.  Some prefer  to get the Vitamin C from  fresh fruit eg,  citrus juice, cranberry  etc

i am a recovering alcoholic and need to know if i am over doing it with supplements. i take milk thistle, vitamins,oil of oregano, elderberry, vitamin c, graviola and melatonin at night to sleep. is this hard on liver?

: Yes, you do not all those supplements although I doubt those will hurt your liver but nobody can say for sure.
You can take multiple vitamins as supplement and melatonin if you use it as a sleep-aid.

Either way is okay: Vitamin c can be taken with food and may help in absorption of iron.

I think you may mean: Vitamin D.  As our bodies are able to produce vitamin D through exposure to sun.  So if you have limited sun exposure or utilize a significant amount of sunscreen(which may be necessary for a number of reasons), then it probably wouldn't hurt to supplement your diet with a vitamin D supplement.

Safe to take 40,000!: There is no know "toxicity" to oral vitamin C though too much can cause loose stools.
There is some concern that taking large amounts of Vit C on a longterm basis can increase risk of kidney stones but the evidence is contradictory: http://tinyurl.com/ho9dccc
