2 Different Goals: For overall leanness, you must reduce body fat. This requires a diet that is relatively low in carbodydrates because carbs are stored in the body as triglycerides (also known as fat)

for sculpted muscles you need to isolate and work out those particular muscles so that they hypertrophy (grow).

Don't recommend: The reality is at some point you will have to have a 'relationship' with food; whether dining out, celebrations with friends and family or going to the grocery store.  Meal replacement plans are typically useful to get ready for surgery, otherwise have a poor record of long term weight control.  Eventually you'll have to quit buying the food and have a nutrition skill set.

Atkins + Fiber: Atkins (0 carbs) is the way to go--but it's a tough diet to follow.  It's virtually fiber-free, and can cause constipation.  I recommend adding several tablespoons of psyllium husks every day (Konsyl, from the grocery store), plus lots of water, to keep you regular.  Also, perhaps 500-1,000 mg of magnesium.  Metformin 500 mg 3 times daily will also help with wt loss.  Walk at least 15 minutes/day.

Weight loss claims: When one of the thousands of weight loss products puts out an ad claiming a patient will lose 5 or more pounds in one week, a doctor usually thinks "pounds sterling" or "British pounds", as in money. It's marketing. It's advertising. To lose &gt; 5 pounds a week (it would be fat plus its related water), one can exercise all day and limit intake to 1000 calories a day... but it is not healthy to do.

That's fine: This is okay for a well-muscled woman, though substantially higher than most women. Ignore what "reference ranges" say -- a few percent of healthies are automatically set outside the range, and the range itself is for a sedentary population

NoneBestLearnReality: Despite all the commercials, they are not selling health but convenience ; reduced quantities, for a price! none of them have done large clinical trials (exempted by dshea act 1994) to evaluate their efficacy; instead hiring well-paid "celebrities" to sell their wares. While they do occasionally work for some, none have any long term success. Best study issues yourself ; learn what works for you!

Fresh foods: A good lunch is lean proteins such as fish, turkey or chicken, mixed with greens at the salad bar. Another good choice is a black bean or quinoa salad with added vegetables, or almond butter on apple slices. Salads are healthful when high-fat additions such as cheese and oil are limited. You can also grab low-fat cheese to eat with an apple.

Depends on calories: Most lean cuisine meals are about 300 calories a piece, so 6 a day would be 1800 calories.  Depending on your size, age, and gender you have a resting metabolic rate which burns some calories (for a 150 lb person about 1400 a day) and if you exercise you could end up burning 300 to 400 more so that would mean you would just burn slightly more than you take in. Can be: If you are working toward weight loss, frozen meals can be helpful since they have the calculated calories written on the box. Work toward lowering your calories to lose weight.
