Yeast infection: It's very possible that. You have a fungal or yeast infection in your axilla. It's possible that you may have a contact dermatitis too. Avoid an alcohol based anti-perspirant. Keep the area as dry as possible and use an anti fungal (like lamisil). If it gets worse and there is more redness, pain and swollen glands under there, you must see a doctor.

Not related: Try hydrocortisone cream and use only unscented soap to wash your hands.  If problem persists, see your doctor or a dermatologist

my vigina gets hot and it itches so much that when i scratch it, it feels like the lips are open on the inside and burns the lips when i pee... also have a bit of a smell.

Monilial vaginitis: Most probably, given your symptoms and history, you want to see your doctor for assessment and treatment plan for diabetes control and vaginitis treatment. ? Callus: If there is thickening of the skin on your toe you may have a callus. Sometimes the area can cause itching. Sometimes a pumice stone may help to remove dead layers of skin and then you can apply some mild hydrocortisone cream. If this does not seem to be the problem, see your doctor for follow up.

Acanthosis Nigricans: This could be acanthosis nigricans, which in your case, may be caused by Insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia. Usually you don't have symptoms, but sometimes it could be itchy. Have your doctor take a look at it to make the correct diagnosis. Good luck!

i have been having extremely itchy skin. starts on hands and feet. sometimes on the rest of my body.  there are no marks to show any signs of rash.  that is until i claw myself to death. wondered if it may be a sign of diabetes. never had this before. lotion does not help. i have not changed any kind of soap or shampoo or detergent. i can take a benadryl and it will stop.

Scabies perhaps?: Extreme itching MAYBE DUE to a mite which causes Scabies. It is not due to diabetes.
You have to use a topical ointment from the pharmacy to stop it.
You can ask your pharmacist for available meds. Or call a doctor and
get a prescription medication once and done head to toe topical to stop the itching. 
It is common and easily treated once you have the correct diagnosis.

Common: Itchy feet are a common symptom in diabetes, such as the diabetes type 2 for which you are taking metformin.  It can be caused by a yeast infection, dry skin, or poor circulation.  Examine your feet daily to rule out infection. Use mild soap with moisturizer and apply skin cream after bathing. If not improving, see your doctor. Also, make sure to see your specialist eye md for annual eye exams.

Possible, but rare: Peripheral diabetic neuropathy, often starting on the feet, can have itching sensation but more often with burning/tingling/pain rather than itching.  Often dry skin, eczema (dishydrosis), fungal infections are causes of itching on feet areas. I suggest consulting doc for an examination and test for diabetes, if needed. Good luck.
