Is itching feet and ankles a sign of diabetes?

Possible, but rare: Peripheral diabetic neuropathy, often starting on the feet, can have itching sensation but more often with burning/tingling/pain rather than itching. Often dry skin, eczema (dishydrosis), fungal infections are causes of itching on feet areas. I suggest consulting doc for an examination and test for diabetes, if needed. Good luck.

Maybe: Need sugar check; see podiatrist fasting, must be <100, 2 hours after eating<140. If higher can be pre-diabetes or diabetes another commonly unrecognized symptom is very dry skin on soles of feet.
