Residue: I am not sure why you hav residue on stainless steel pots.  Inside?  They should scrub clean every time.  Try the barkeeper's friend and then rinse well.  Stainless steel pans should be one of the safest for your child.

Generally No: In the modern world with city water , sterilization is not needed. Well water should be boiled.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Yes - the infant transfers lots of bacteria to the bottles during each of the feedings.  After the bottle has touched the infants mouth it is ok to re-feed off of it for roughly 1-2 hours.  After that it needs to be fully cleaned.

Pasteurization: all bacteria are killed if you steam them for 10 minutes.
Don;t use an antibacterial soap.  That causes rash in many people and is completely unnecessary

sterilized babys bottles in stainless steel pot with aluminum foil because i lost the lid. is this safe, the bottom of the foil turns a funky color ? i searched online that its not and could leach but it wasnt a health accredited website?

: Sterilized ??? The practice was abandoned decades ago in the USA when simple cleaning with soap &amp; water like other dishware/utensils was found adequate. A bottle brush to handle any retained milk is the only extra effort needed. If you are concerned about the rinse I would just re=do it with soapy water at regular dish cleaning temperature.

Depends on Supply: This is really not necessary if you have a municipal water supply that is regarded as safe. Just wash it with soap in hot water as you wash the other dishes in the household. If you have a well water supply or unsafe water supply this is of course not the case and the cup should be sterilized

: Before first use boil the bottle and nipple in water for 5 minutes.After that you do not need to sterlize.Just wash with soap and warm water after use.You are doing the right thing washing in warm soapy water.

Most likely will hea: If there is no active bleeding will most likely heal up. Check your tetanus status however.

my friend borrowed my breast pump when she returned my pump . before i can sterilize it my 19 month baby put bottle in her mouth . i am not sure if there was any leftover breastmilk in the bottle transfer hiv in baby body. should go for blood test ?

: Little or no risk for your baby to catch HIV even if your friend has it. Even when a baby is nursed by an untreated HIV infected mom, there's only a 15% chance of infection after 6 months of swallowing a few ounces of milk every day. What can it possibly be after the tiny amount involved in this event? But why not just ask your friend so you can stop worrying
