How long do you sterlize baby bottles?

2 answers: 1.Place the bottles in a pot of boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. Once boiling is complete, place the bottles on a clean rack to dry. This rack should not be used for any other purpose, as it may become contaminated. Ehow.Com http://www.Ehow.Com 2. Until 2 months. I recommend the dishwasher and have not had any problems.

Why ever?: Sterilizing of bottles is a throw back to a time when parents made formula from condensed cow milk & it needed to be boiled to make it digestible. Babies also had problems with staph germs that were resistant to available abx. Today we know that a good bottle brush & cleaning the same way as your regular dishes is all that is necessary. Ditch the sterilizer & enjoy the extra time with your kid.
