Can't answer: Not sure what is meant by blood plaques.  Do you mean blood clots or cholesterol (atherosclerotic) plaques?  The general process is damage - either acute or chronic - to the lining of the blood vessel with adherence of platelets, inflammation and subsequent plaque.

high blood pressure predisposes you to heart disease, kidney damage, and stroke.
Plaque build up - causes heart disease, kidney damage, and stroke. Also other blood vessel problems such as in the legs.

I suppose, on average, would say that plaque build up (atherosclerosis) would be worse, although both need to be treated.

how can i reduce my current plaque build up of years of bad cholesterol and blood pressure? am i doomed or do i stand a chance

Dean Ornish's Diet: The plan developed by Dean Ornish, includes a 10% fat diet as well as other lifestyle changes, It has been shown to reduce plaque after 5 years and the longer you follow it the more you reduce. However, some people also need meds.  It is up to you in great part.  Diet plus exercise plus meds are always better than meds alone without exercise.  Nobody but you can do 2 of the 3 most important things

Yes≈Complex! & No.: Sugar intake ↓es large HDL particles (µmol/l)+is converted by liver into triglyceride fat for storage {↑es LDL (nmol/l) & body fat stores}. Other than low LDL particle numbers results in LDL particles entering artery walls, attracts monocytes/macrophages to eat/clear the LDL particles & without enough functioning HDL to unload the wbcs, they die & is called plaque. Plaque rupture induces clots.

i was flossing my teeth, some some either plaque or part of my tooth came off. there's like a opening there now that i can see. no blood or pain. help?

Exam: If what came off was calculus (tartar), that's fine. If it was tooth or filling, it's something that will need attention. Best bet is to get it checked out..

Can not tell: You say that there is normal blood flow and have not been told there is a blockage.With normal blood flow doubt there is  a significant blockage.No way to tell the stroke risk without knowing the percentage of plaque,your blood pressure,other risk factors etc.

im 65 and have borderline cholesterol (229 and ratio of 4:6) for the last ten years.  i am not on a statin, dont smoke, dont drink, dont have diabetes or hi blood pressure.  should i be worried about plaque build up and should i start in a statin?

Lipid profile: What are the values of LDL , HDL and triglycerides? You want them within normal range too, especially triglycerides would be below 100 is better, besides keeping a healthy lifestyle, low dose statins would be helpful if numbers are out of range, otherwise no need , in my opnion, wish you wellness

i am 39 and just found out ive plaque deposits on both caratoid arteries in my neck the cardioligist said blood flow is normal .worried?

Things to learn: If not severe and blood flow ok, no immediate worry. Plaque, atherosclerosis is how blood vessels age. Early change at this age is no big surprise. It'll continue, likely eventually in coronaries (heart) &amp; elsewhere. Your goal: try to slow it! NEVER smoke, treat blood pressure, cholesterol &amp; diabetes (if present)  aggressively, exercise, healthy diet, control weight. Hope this helps.

Focus on noncardiac : Your workup sounds extensive for assessing cardiac causes for chest pain.  Negative results suh as you describe would imply that your symptoms are due to a noncardiac cause.  In patients with negative cardiac work ups for cp, about 1/3 rd of the time symptoms are due to GI causes, 1/3 rd due to musculoskeletal/pleural causes, and 1/3rd due to anxiety or neuropsychiatric  causes.
