how to get a splinter out of my baby daughters mouth?

Splinter: Depends on the situation.  The splinter definitely needs to come out.  If it is relatively small and is partially sticking out and the child is not hysterical or in distress, then you could restrain the child and try to pull the splinter out.  Then report to the doctor.  Otherwise it is best to get the child to the emergency room for a doctor to examine the baby and remove the splinter.

nov. my baby drank from another babies sippy cup. last week that vaby was diagnosed with imune deficiancy disorder. sickness unknown. if that baby is hiv pos. could mine get affected? both babies were teething, and that onemight have a soar in mouth

Probably okay: It is probably fine, but the sore should be checked by a Pediatrician. Very often viral illness may be associated or it may be an isolated finding. The baby if otherwise well, has defenses against illness.

ate cookie with molasses. scared i dropped cookie crumbs and my 4 month old possibly got them on hand/ into her mouth. could she get infant botulism?

Possible: It is possible to get botulism but it is unlikely.  Watch out for symptoms 18 - 36hrs after ingestion. Symptoms in infants are lethargy, weakness, poor feeding, weak cry. Constipation is usually the first symptom to occur. There is nothing for you to do now except observation. If your baby seems to be  floppy or develops any of the above symptoms, you need to go to the nearest ER.

No: The high fructose corn syrup in soda generally does not contain botulism and regardless that type of exposure could not cause a problem. It is fine

Scalp lesion?: The bones of the skull should have been fused for a very long time now (you are 26, right?).  I suspect that what you are referring to is a superficial scalp lesion; however, the only way to determine is to be seen by a physician so that they can examine the area of concern and then treat accordingly. Baby acne: Baby acne is a common occurence.  Wash her face with mild soap once a day. Do not try to pop the pimples or blackheads. The acne will disappear over several months. If the acne is becoming more widespread have her seen by her doctor.

Research: In looking at research on the subject, i would think that there is not a correlation between the two.  Environment has a lot to do with lifelong dental health, but i would not rule out a link because new research is coming out all the time.  Our views 10 years ago may now be totally proven wrong or vice versa, especially when it comes to health and nutrition.

Prob okay, but...: hairy black tongue can occur in infants because of infection or failure of the tongue papillae (bumps) to properly shed their cells like it should. it is important to distinguish if the black could be melanin, since that might indicated a skin disorder. black 'spots' can also be a sign of a genetic condition, so it is important to have this evaluated further, likely with biopsy.

Most infants, however, are able to breathe through their mouth if their nose is blocked. Variation in the length of time until a baby begins oral breathing, but most children and adults are nasal breathers at baseline and mouth breathe to compensate during exercise and colds/stuffy nose for example.
