Call dentist: Just because the abscess is draining does not mean the tooth is fine. The bacteria are festering in the bone or gum tissue, and the cause of the abscess needs to be determined and treated. Failure to treat can cause further breakdown of the tooth and bone, and result in the loss of that tooth.

Gum abscess humira (adalimumab): Infections don't heal as quickly when your immunocompromised, it depends on how much or how often your taking humira (adalimumab), (adalimumab) definitely a question for the physician who prescribed the humira (adalimumab).

Maybe: The abscess formed because an infection inside the tooth drained out into the jaw and then through the gum. You must get rid of the original infection before you can get rid of the abscess. A properly done root canal or a tooth extraction are the only two ways to accomplish this. If advanced gum disease is also present then the tooth usually must be removed.

what causes a bump on the gums? ive had a thrush break out and noticed a bump on my top gum-no teeth or dentures. the bump is regularly shaped and doesnt hurt nor is it sensitive to contact with my tongue, no bleeding or draining. gum boil? abscess?

: Thrush is a fungal disease that leaves white patches not bumps on gums or cheeks. Since you have no teeth or dentures, it could be an irritation on gums from eating something hard or pointed. It could be a small root tip or piece of tooth that was left in area. See a dentist for x-ray and exam.

See a dentist: Consider rinsing with diluted salt water rinses.   However, see a dentist so that the infection can be drained and/or an antibiotic prescription can be written.   See the dentist asap as the infection can potentially become life threatening in 1-2 days.

Absolutely: If you had an infection anywhere else in your body wouldn't it cause the adjacent lymph nodes to swell?  You have an active infection.  It's probably causing bone destruction.  Be thankful it doesn't hurt, but this could change in the blink of an eye.  The bacteria, spreading through your blood stream, can affect other organ systems.  Call your Dentist for an emergency appointment.

my hurtful gum boil doesn't look like an abcess so it will not be treated, there's nothing showing up on the x rays but i can taste the pus and it's just awful... no dentist will drain it, should i drain it myself? been 3 years of being ignored?

: You could have swollen gums[periodontal disease] that causes an abscess. A tooth infection would show up on an x-ray. If your gums are red and bleed and pus comes out than see a gum specialist[PERIODONTIST]  You need to pursue an oral hygiene program now.
