Basics: The incubation period of tetanus is 3-21 days with shorter incubation for the most contaminated wounds. Antibodies from a T booster begin to appear 4-7 days after the dose, so the sooner it is given the better. Good wound clean out/care can prevent most tetanus by stopping the germ before it begins to take hold within the tissues.

Missed  tdap : Taking tdap after delivery is not going to help your baby,  unless  you still have some immunity  from previous doses it can last up to 10 years but It is recommended every 5 years,  make sure to take the baby for well  &amp; immunizations  visits to the pediatrician at the recommended schedule. Need boosters: Tdap is vaccination for three diseases, tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis and you do need booster doses at different times. You may consult this site for more information, http://www.webmd.com/vaccines/tdap-vaccine-for-adults#1
You City health department may be able to provide more information.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Yes, if: He has only had one shot.  Protection is provided by a series of shots.  For maximum protection he needs the full series as scheduled.  Until then his protection is incomplete.

Yes: Since there is a shortage of vaccine, I would advise having the vaccine as scheduled. If you try to re schedule you may experience a long wait.
