Infection. : If you have a new onset of symptoms of this nature with a stiff neck, I would recommend you be seen. Possibilities are likely viral process, but either significant infection or even strep throat possible. Could be rhabdomyolysis from your activity.

1/4 cup: Put warm water into your sitz bath until it's about 1/3 of the way full. Add 1/4 cup of epsom salt. Then add yourself. Hope it helps!

Not likely: Epsom salt, or magnesium sulfate, has numerous uses in medicine, but i've never used it for an antacid nor have i heard of it being used as so...Magnesium carbonate is a basic compound that can be used as an antacid.

i mixed some epsom salt with warm water and i didn't use much salt. i am now having a bad break out on my arm. i washed it off. what should i do?

Allergic reaction: For how lion are you  using Epsom Salt? is this the first time? then do not use any more.
If you still have symptoms get Benadryl (diphenhydramine) over the counter, and follow instruction. Apply to skin 1% Hydrocortisone cream-ointment to control your symptoms.
Because allergic reactions can progress and worsen in minutes causing complications, medical attention is always recommended for all but the most minor and localized symptoms. 
If the symptoms of your reaction worsen over a few days, or if they do not improve with recommended treatment and removal of the allergen, call your health-care provider. 
Tell your health-care provider if you have any allergic symptoms after using a drug or other treatment prescribed for you (see Drug Allergy). 
Allergic reactions can be dangerous. Sudden, severe, widespread reactions require emergency evaluation by a medical professional. Call an ambulance if you or someone around you has any of the following with an allergic reaction:

sudden, severe, or rapidly worsening symptoms 
exposure to an allergen that previously caused severe or bad reactions 
swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat 
wheezing, chest tightness, loud breathing, trouble breathing, or hoarseness of voice 
confusion, sweating, nausea, or vomiting 
widespread rash or severe hives 
lightheadedness, collapse, or unconsciousness

Also, I would suggest taking a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or another antihistamine to calm your symptoms, For rashes or skin irritations, an anti-inflammatory steroid cream such as hydrocortisone can be used. For small, localized skin reactions, use a cold, wet cloth or ice for relief. Apply a bag of frozen vegetables wrapped in a towel as an ice pack

Benzocaine spray: It is normal to have a little itching as the tissue heals.  Usually your doctor or midwife repairs the tear with an absorbable suture and this can cause a small itching reaction.  You can use an over the counter spray called Dermoplast or any anesthetic spray with benzocaine. If it isnt getting better see your doctor.

No: Be sure the area around your vulva and the razor are clean before you shave.  I don't see your diet as being a factor unless out of the ordinary.

Try to avoid this: It is preferable that you use distilled or boiled water with prepared salt packets that you can purchase at your pharmacy. 
Epsom salt is Magnesium sulfate as opposed to the Sodium chloride present in the salt you use day to day. The latter is preferred for nasal irrigation

Maybe: If the swelling is new onset ice would be better.  Ice stops inflammation.
Epson salts in warm water are better for old or chronic swelling due to bursitis, arthritis.

i have ingrown pubic hairs , i was prescribed bacitracin. i was wondering what does any discharge mean and can i use epsom salt at all?

Accepted Answer

That's ok: Epsom salts are fine to use.  You may have slight infections in the hair follicles and the drainage may be infection.
