Try to avoid this: It is preferable that you use distilled or boiled water with prepared salt packets that you can purchase at your pharmacy. Epsom salt is Magnesium sulfate as opposed to the Sodium chloride present in the salt you use day to day. The latter is preferred for nasal irrigation
