5 years after cataract surgery.  shld i do something? anything to worry abt?  it's been 2 yrs since my last checkup. not much changes with vision.

No worries: Cataract surgery at age 15 is very unusual. This is often due to trauma, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, or hereditary factors. As long as you are seeing well, problems late after cataract surgery are uncommon. However, if your cataract was due to trauma or a metabolic condition, then other issues can arise with time that have no symptoms, such as glaucoma. A full eye exam yearly is prudent.

Everybody: Everybody gets cataracts, just like wrinkles on your skin. Just like wrinkles, some people get it earlier than others.   There's also a wide spectrum.  You can have early cataracts and see perfectly for many many years.  Every doctor is different as to "when" to call it a cataract.   And even if you do, treating cataracts is much easier than treating wrinkles (IMHO).   So relax, be happy...

i had posterior uveitis then cataract surgery last year. recently i was diagnosed with grave's disease. is all of this somehow related?

It can be but low: Uveitis can be associated with Thyroid disease but it is ususlly a very low percent around 2%. It is been found mainly in poorly controlled hyper thyroidism. You could be check to see if you have any other autoimmune phenomena that might explain your case. Your physician should be able to help you with this.

Congenital cataract : Depending on how long ago the surgery was performed, there are many things that can be done. A complete eye exam to determine the state of your eye would be necessary. Some people would benefit from refractive surgery and others from a new intraocular lens. Your doctor can go over all your options.

Most : Most patients are able to see well enough to drive within 1 day of their cataract surgery.
There can be exceptions.  For example, a patient with a strong eyeglasses precription before surgery may have a large change in their eyeglasses precription after cataract surgery.  This patient would not see well with their old eyeglasses in the surgical eye.

Temporary eyeglasses may be prescribed a few days after surgery, with the final prescription to follow at 4 or 5 weeks post-op.

i'm having foggy/hazy vision 3 years after cataract surgery, what is wrong?

Secondary cataract: Secondary cataract is a condition where the posterior capsule (the clear membrane behind the lens) becomes cloudy or scarred.  Immediately after surgery this membrane is clear like seran wrap.  The light passes through the pupil, then the new lens implant, then this clear membrane (posterior capsule).  It can cloud like wax paper.  A yag laser can be used to make a hole in this clouded membrane.

Not sure: With the gap you described, it is hard to imagine the change in skin cokor is related to the cataract surgery.  There are other health conditions that can change pigmentation to the skin around your eyes.  Please discuss with your doctor.
