i had a large ovarian cyst rupture about a week and half ago. i was in bad pain. ultrasound showed fluid. the pain is improving each day. little pain left in pelvic and hip. but much much better. do i need go back to doc or can i wait a little longer?

Ovarian cyst: it is certainly possible for a ovarian cyst to rupture and if with a very small hole, seal over and persist. this is not very concerning as long as the system does not continue to grow or cause pain. continue to monitor your symptoms and follow up with your gynecologist. Consider starting birth control to control the development of cysts.

If not pregnant: This could  be caused by insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome, or other issues affecting ovulation. If only happens one time, this could be just a normal variation, one time event. Your doctor is an important source of information, and further testing/treatment.
