Yes.: Thrush is caused by a fungal infection, usually candidia sp.., it can spread down your pharynx, and even reach your larynx, which could cause hoarseness if it is affected.  Treatment is available (antifungals), see your physician, and get it treated.

Months: It depends how much radiation was delivered to some extent, but this is often fairly standard dosing. You should expect hoarseness for 4-6 months in many cases and could be longer. Make sure you keep well hydrated to thin the mucus in your throat and larynx. Keep the humidity high in the home and bedroom. Give it time to heal.

i was coughing up thick mucus, i had a fever, my voice was gone and my throat was sore. i was diagnosed with pharyngitis on sunday (01/07/2018). it's been over a week now and my voice isn't back. is this normal? how long should it take?

Expected: hoarseness or lost voice due to phayngitis can stay that long, however, if no improvement at all in few days you need to see an ENT specialist, meanwile, rest your voice and stay well hydrated, good luck

i need to take a vaginal pessary for thrush but im scared that im going to have a allergic reaction. im worried my throat will close up. ?

Why worried?: If you had an allergic reaction to the antifungal medication before, then do not take it, otherwise, you should not be worried. Antifungal medication inserted into the vagina is not a very common allergen.

my tongue is coated white but throat is normal . had blood work done yesterday and it was normal.  big red taste buds... is it thrush?

Probably not: Often running a piece of dental floss across the tongue will remove this debris. If so, and if it isn't uncomfortable, it's probably not thrush / candida. Your physician would have recognized oral thrush as well. Don't make too much out of tongue signs -- they're famously nonspecific and often (usually) mean nothing.

if taking inhaler steroids and washing out mouth and spitting, brush teeth ect to prevent thrush. what can you take to rinse out throat of the steroids ? aloe juice?

: Some find that brushing the teeth after each use of a steroid inhaler does a good job of preventing oral thrush and voice changes.

i take advair for asthma trble w/ hoareseness ever since. no thrush i rinse evry time. drink lots, talking on phone is my job. what can i do?no voice!

See allergist: This is not an uncommon side effect from inhaled steroid, which can weaken your vocal cord muscle or cause a fungal infection at the throat. Consult an allergist to find out if the inhaled steroid dose can be reduced by adding a long-acting bronchodilator or Singulair (montelukast).  Using an Aerochamber for the inhaler may help as well.

Yes: It is common for viral infections to cause laryngitis.  Take cough suppressants to prevent coughing and rest your voice as much as possible to speed recovery.

For the kids, yes...: ...but at 21 years old I'd give it a day or two of "throat rest" (no yelling) and seek evaluation if your discomfort doesn't resolve.
