juvederm and out of control bruising, what's the difference?

Injections Bruise: All injections bruise.  So fillers such as juvederm can occasionally cause out of control bruising.  Injections near the orbit are more likely to bruise.  Deep blood vessels can be injured with the needles and cause delayed bruising.
Ice early can help.
After a few days a concealer is ok, but it will take time to go away.  The colors will continue to change as it improves.

i have bruising from juvederm dermal fillers, is this normal?

Fillers May Bruise: All fillers are injected, so bruising is a common side effect.
Certain areas are more vascular, such as near the eyes and they can bruise more and the bruising can be more prolonged.
Avoid aspirin, nsaid's, and blood thinning supplements such as vitamin e before the injections.
Ice helps prevent, and possibly arnica.  Concealers may be placed a day later.

how far in advance of a big party should i schedule my juvederm session? i want to look great, and i don't want to have any residual bruising or swelling. what's a safe time frame to shoot for?

Three : Three weeks is ok .... In rare cases you may still need a dab of "cover up" if you bruised excessively....

is there any way i can prevent bruising from juvederm injections? bruises seem to take forever to heal on me, so i'd like to try to avoid them when i get my juvederm treatment. do you have any advice for how to do that?

You : You can avoid blood thinner medications and supplements from 10 days before your procedure to help with avoiding bruising. Some patients also find that taking arnica helps with bruising as well.

2 weeks: Give it time as the tear trough is sensitive to swelling.

Time: You need time to heal. The other issues have little value at this point.

Possibly: Aquamid. Not all these fillers are indicated for every area of the body. Some of them aren't FDA approved and I hope they never are - they're right out dangerous.

how long does a juvederm treatment last? i'd like to have a juvederm treatment for my laugh lines, but i heard it doesn't last very long and you have to keep going back for more injections. is this true? how long will the effects last for?

Juvederm : Juvederm is a temporary filler and is naturally resorbed by the body with time. The results tend to last about 6-12 months. Other fillers are available for treating that area including restylane, (dermal fillers) which is a hyaluronic acid filler like juvederm. Radiesse can also be used and tends to last longer, about 12 months.

All of these fillers can be repeated to continue their effects.

It : It depends on how much juvederm is injected. If you have a conservative enhancement, the swelling should be subtle but you may have some bruising.

i had juvederm 1 syringe in apple of cheek 4mo's ago. had ipl one month ago. burning/gnawing sensations last 3mo's but has increased. is nerve dying?

Uncertain: I see the procedure was reversed so I guess there was something wrong. It could be the nerve was injured or compressed Neurontin (gabapentin) may help its healing. It should heal in time but I would speak to a neurologist and explain everything that occurred including what the filler is and where it is deposited.
