3-6 months: Lisfranc fractures have a long recovery unfortunately.  I tell my patients it takes 3 months to heal and 3 months to rehab after this injury and surgery.

6 weeks to 3 months: Lisfranc injuries range from sprains to complete dislocations. Immobilization in cast can take up to 3 months. Stable sprains can be treated nonoperatively but displaced injuries require surgery. Both are treated with nonweight-bearing cast for 6 weeks then progressive weight bearing in removable boot or walking cast for another 6 weeks, advancing as comfort allows. Patients are advanced to a supportive shoe and reconditioning when comfort allows.

Ambulation pubic fra: What was the cause of the fracture?. Usually is induced by a violent injury, such as a MVA, you should had imaging studied performed, and interpretation. The pubis encompass the junction, and the bony structures. At what level is, is the ligament/cartilage affected? or the bone. The healing process Pubic Rami fractures typically heal without surgery and don’t usually cause permanent disabilities.

i rolled my ankle and a think i have a small fracture, i am able to walk normally on it but it dose feel slightly awkward. how can i treat it at home?

You don't: Being able to walk normally without pain makes a fracture highly unlikely. So in this instance just go about your normal life. Have it evaluated and x rayed if it becomes painful.

stress fracture- 3rd met.- 17 weeks boot, crutches. x-ray- not healed, pain, but specialist says walk normally, no boot. is that okay or 2nd opinion?

Ask, and receive.: It seems hard to believe that an experienced specialist would have you walk on your foot, if he believed that your foot wasn't healed. The decision of healing, after 17 weeks, may take more verification than a x-ray can show.  Seventeen weeks can be frustrating for both you and the specialist. I suggest you get a second opinion, in fact, it might be considerate to ask him for a referral for one.

i had a trimalleolar ankle fracture and am 6 weeks post operation. will i be able to walk normally after some time or will i limp?

It depend: On the fracture and the nature of the brake and if you have complications or not.
Assuming the fracture is simple in nature, I do believe you have no problem walking after 6 month without a limp.

i have sprained my ankle and i cant walk normally on it without pain but i have to walk around school tomorrow should i use crutches?
p.s. had an x-ray on thursday and no fracture and doctors said it was sprained?

May help....: If you are unable to put weight on your foot/ankle without causing pain, the use of crutches would help to prevent further injury and allow it to heal. You should get an x-ray to make sure there is no fracture. Stay off it as much as possible, elevate it, apply ice for 20 minutes every few hours when you are not in school. See your doctor if it is not getting better over the next couple of days.

Usually not: Rarely, the hip fracture will compress upon itself and be stable enough to allow weight bearing, but most of the time, it is too painful to walk on.

i have my own construction company and i fractured 2 ribs   is it ok to walk around and delegate and will it make me heal slower?

Accepted Answer

: the answer would depend on whether your rib fractures are displaced which means are the ribs in two pieces allowing them to move or are the fractures not completely through the rib and therefore unable to move. If it is the former, a simple fall might cause the rib to puncture the lung my recommendation would be NOT to return. The other type fracture is more stable and it would be fine to return.

Tibial plateau: You will usually walk with crutches with no weight on the leg until the fracture heals which can take 6 weeks.
