Ask, and receive.: It seems hard to believe that an experienced specialist would have you walk on your foot, if he believed that your foot wasn't healed. The decision of healing, after 17 weeks, may take more verification than a x-ray can show. Seventeen weeks can be frustrating for both you and the specialist. I suggest you get a second opinion, in fact, it might be considerate to ask him for a referral for one.
