5mm in most cases: It depends on the location and as well as if it has grown, but 5mm is a good cutoff that many people use while others use 7mm.

It really depends: On how much shunting is occurring through the hole & if there are resultant adverse effects...E.G. Pulmonary hypertension...Often times these are not fixed.

Proceed carefully: The majority of the patients i see with newly diagnosed aneurysms are managed conservatively, or without an interventional procedure.  There are several pieces of information to consider before deciding on whether embolization, including the pipeline, is appropriate. for years i've had a large lump on my forearm vein that balloons. if i raise my arm it goes down because the blood drains from it. when my arm hangs it fills with blood and gets really big if i'm exercising. it hurts if it's hit. is this an aneurysm?

No if it was an aneu: -rysm, it is a arterial condition, so if it was, U would feel it pulsate. This is most likely a connection 2 the deeper veins called a perforator, &amp; at the connection 2 the superficial veins, there is usually a bulge, &amp; is a normal physiological phenomenon.

i have an unruptured unsymptomatic 1,7mm big aneurysm on the right internal carotid artery(intradural)i have a regular mri/ct once per year.what are my chances of survival and how will they treat it? they didnt gave me any information. please help?

: First, your doctors are ethically obligated to answer your pressing questions, and since they know you best, they are the best source to clarify your concerns (But you need to be assertive and ask!).  If your lesion is truly 1.7 mm, it is tiny and would not be handled surgically at this point, and would merely be managed by serial imaging.

i have pkd. my doctor ordered an mri on my brain to check for aneurysms. turns out i have one 2mm big. i have an appt with a neurologist in a couple weeks, can i ask for a surgery? maybe endovascular? i do not want it to stay there and keep growing?

: Risk of rupture for a 2 mm aneurysm is very low so I do believe neurologist will recommend observation with serial MRA. Because of your underlying PCKD, chance of new aneurysm may develop in the future is high so you will need serial imaging tests for detection &amp; the current aneurysm can be monitored as well. Aneurysm can be clipped or coiled if it gets bigger quickly or when it's larger than 7 mm

when u do a echocardiogram, chest xray and ultrasound of abdominal aorta, is it a big possibility to have a aneurysm of aorta? i have strong pulse

No: If  your abdominal aorta looks normal on US, there is no abdominal aortic aneurysm.  Echocardiogram can rule out thoracic aneurysm.

10 days of right side head pains. not a constant headache. sinus pressure, come & go ear discomfort, occasional ear ringing, random pains on top & side of head, a few sharp eye pains & back of head was sore for a few days. big fear of aneurysm. idea?

Exam needed: 10 days of those symptoms warrant an investigation. I recommend consulting your physician or  a neurologist or an Otolaryngologist, as neuralgia,muscle contraction tension headaches as well as sinusitis and middle ear infections are possibilities. Appropriate testing will be done. Stress management therapy should be helpful if tension headaches and anxiety are diagnosed.

If cerebral (brain) aneurysm, these can be detected by MRI or angiogram (dye-injected via catheter with xrays), or symptoms develop when they leak or rupture. In the abdomen, an aneurysm of the aorta may cause pain, and may be palpable. An ultrasound will give an accurate measure of the size. Very rare in young people.
