Location?: An aneurysm can be of many different structures, usually a blood vessel. If cerebral (brain) aneurysm, these can be detected by MRI or angiogram (dye-injected via catheter with xrays), or symptoms develop when they leak or rupture. In the abdomen, an aneurysm of the aorta may cause pain, and may be palpable. An ultrasound will give an accurate measure of the size. Very rare in young people.
