in 5 wks mom lost 20lbs. i lost 7. i work out harder and longer, eat 3 small meals all healthy food. seeing dietician. why is she loosing more than me?

Can't compare: You can't compare yourself to anyone else.  The rate of weight loss depends on how many fewer calories you are consuming now and how many more calories you are burning compared to previously.  It is possible that your mother was eating much more than you and not exercising as much previously, and has cut back more than you to lose 20 lbs.  Also does she weigh more than you to start?

i am eating balanced diet including healthy food with protein, carbs vitamins etc. also, i am very active and doing a lot of sport and drinking only water since age 12. i am 5'10 138lbs. is it okay to eat 1 unhealthy meal (junk food) once in a week?

Eat less move more: Eat less, move more
you dont have to exercise to move more- you can park further away at the supermarket. Eating less is important if you want to lose weight. Find out how many calories you need and eat 200 less a day, find ways to decrease fat in your diet. Also try to avoid sugar drinks.

Digestion: The way your system breaks down foods for absorption determines the waste products that need evacuation including gas. Often the gas is a result of the body's difficulty breaking down certain foods because you likely lack enzymes necessary to digest the food. I have no vested interest in this product but do recommend "digest extra" sold at the vitamin shoppe. It has all the enzymes your body needs.

i have been diagnosed with hypoglycemia (so i think) my insulin level is 18. i was never given a meal plan or sent to a dietitian and would like to know what foods i can eat please. i have been staying away from all sugar, white bread, pasta. ?

Good luck to you: If you have self-diagnosed "hypoglycemia" based on "pop" claims, I hope that you will (1) get a proper screen for real diabetes; (2) reduce caffeine and tobacco if applicable; (3) look at and deal if possible with sources of chronic dysfunctional stress; (4) educate yourself on the real science of "idiopathic postprandial syndrome"; (5) ignore a "spot" insulin level; (6) diet isn't key.

Clarify: By bulk up it may mean gain weight in general or muscle mass. Protein in forms can help. Weight in the form of high calorie nutrient dense foods can help. Your exercise regimen is most important.

Several options: There is no perfect meal plan that suits everyone.  The best meal plan in my opinion is the dash diet.  It focus on balance nutrition diet  and keep saturated fat and processed carbohydrates intake low.  It has been shown to reduce the risks of many medical problems. There is none: The balance is really what the individual feels comfortable doing.

Simple: First, you want to create a calorie deficit viz. Less calories in than calories consumed. This may take a calculation. 
In general 1/2 plate should have fruits and vegetables, 1/4 with complex carbs and 1/4 with lean protein.  That's the stencil - fill in what you will. No seconds and make it a proper plate size.
