Be patient: If you are doing all the things that you described, you will ultimately lose weight and obtain your ideal body weight. Unfortunately, we gain weight quickly. This leads to a natural assumption that we should lose weight quickly as well. It's all about burning more calories than you take in on a daily basis that results in weight loss. You will not gain weight if you're eating well, small amounts.

It varies: A healthy well-balanced diet, 3 meals without snacks. Caloric restriction if you need to lose weight. There's no magic here, and no "magic foods" that cause you to lose weight. Find an eating plan you can follow the rest of your life, not a short-term diet. Check w/your registered dietitian. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.

Weight loss: Please don't try and lose more than 2-5 pounds a month.
Please go online and look up the many articles about nutrition. My favorite is "NuVal" - it is easy to understand and will help with food intake.

Don't forget to exercise regularly.

Depends: Any fad diet is not healthy because you will simply regain the weight once you go off it.  You need to find a diet that you can stick to for the rest of your life if you want to keep the weight off.  A vegan diet of fruits and vegetables can be healthy as long as you get in enough protein.  Typically you need nuts as well as some vitamin supplements.  Good luck.

Picky eaters: 2 year olds can be very picky eaters. I would continue to offer him a variety of foods and try to find out his favorites. Remaining happy and active are good signs. You should monitor him for weight loss . I would also watch for drastic changes in bowel, habits, vomiting, irritability, and abdominal distension. Of course, he needs a thorough check up by his pediatrician if not done recently.

Think green!: Water has no calories, but all fruits and vegetables do have calories. Any green vegetable will be very low in calories. Starchy vegetables have more. You'll want to steer clear of potatoes and corn, for example. Fruits such as melon and berries will be quite low in calories. But, for most of us, fruits and vegetables were not our problem foods! good luck with your weight loss!

Eggs fruits veggies: It depends on how much you eat but on general, you would probably lose weight (assuming you currently eat a decent amount of carbohydrates).  It may not be enough for you to be healthy though. It would really depend on which fruits and vegetables you ate since they vary tremendously in their content of various nutrients and minerals.

See details: You made it very difficult. I doubt you will lose weight depending on carbohydrates and fats. Minimize carbs and calories, control portion size and exercise regularly.
