Unfortunately no &amp;no: Unfortunately, there is no way to stop the first trimester pregnancy bleeding at this time. It may lead to miscarriage or not especially with stagnant hCG levels. Only the continuance of the pregnancy will raise hCG levels and not any other external treatment.

Possible miscarriage: This may be a miscarriage but it is difficult to know for sure this early.  You can follow the HCG level for the short term (it should double every 2 to 3 days) and then repeat the sonogram in about a week to clarify the situation.

There : There is a wide range of normal on the HCG testing.  You are most likely 4-5 weeks pregnant. You go by the first day of your last period.   When you are about 8 weeks or so, you can have an ultrasound that can more accurately determine your gestational age.  Ultrasounds are very accurate in determining dates.

i will be 6w4d pregnant with a hcg level of approx 3500 at my first ultrasound this week. if this pregnancy is viable, what can i expect to see?

Variable: Very early OB ultrasounds can  have a variable appearance.  A gestational sac should be visible with a  transabdominal ultrasound, with the yolk sac and fetal pole probably visible  with endovaginal ultrasound. Cardiac activity may also be seen.

Follow up us or serial HCG levels can help confirm pregnancy status  if there is any concern.

Need to get US: Beta hcg levels shouldn't drop normally. If the current level is &gt; 2500-3000, transvaginal Ultrasound will show if it is normal pregnancy or possible ectopic pregnancy. If you have pelvic pain and bleeding, should contact your Obgyn.

Miscarriage ?'s: The series of HCG quantitative tests described at a gestational age of "5w 3d" and "48 hours apart" are very low and may indicate that your pregnancy may not continue.  In another week, get another quantitative HCG , and the number should jump significantly if the pregnancy is progressing appropriately.
