Xray: Air doesn't show up on X-rays. Bony stuff is white.  Hazy means that part of your lung is not completely filling with air.  You really need a CT scan to determine exactly what it is.  Some types of things in lungs that people get have calcium in it (old infections sometimes can show this, scarring).  The location and the context of the patients history can lead down different diagnostic pathways.

Also, the pattern of calcifications is important as well.  These nodules should be followed for stability for 2 years.  If they change or enlarge, they should be biopsied or evaluated for malignancy.  Follow the recommendations of the reading radiologist, or get 2nd opinion.

: Those findings are strongly suspected for pulmonary tuberculosis for a Filipino. I assume your PPD (tuberculin test) and/or quantiferon gold test is positive. Next step will be sputum smear and culture for AFB (acid fast bacilli). If this disease is strongly suspected, treatment can be initiated during waiting for the results of work-up. CT chest should be done if TB is not the likely diagnosis.
