Xray: Air doesn't show up on X-rays. Bony stuff is white. Hazy means that part of your lung is not completely filling with air. You really need a CT scan to determine exactly what it is. Some types of things in lungs that people get have calcium in it (old infections sometimes can show this, scarring). The location and the context of the patients history can lead down different diagnostic pathways.
