Tongue: Most likely cause is a clogged salivary gland with a mucous plug or calcific plug. Once the plug passes or is removed the swelling goes away. I recommend seeing your oral surgeon to have it checked and if needed treated.

Bumpy: Sorry, "bumpy" is not enough to go on.  Any pain, bleeding, ora as in your case swelling, deserves immediate evaluation.  May be rankle, salivary duct stone, infection, or many other possibilities.  What should you do?  See your Dentist ASAP for examination, x-rays (if indicated), differential diagnosis, and treatment or referral.

ive got 2 tissue tags underneath my tongue. recently ive been getting alot of pain on 1 of them
when ive looked closely one seems to have a white spot?

Likely normal: Plicae Fimbriata. This is a normal finding under the tongue. May look like little fringes. If you have been sticking your tongue out over the tops of your bottom teeth, then the white spot could be irritated tissue. Check the edges of the bottom teeth for sharpness if this applies. Otherwise, see your Dentist if it does not improve in a few days. Good Luck.

Consult the surgeon.: You should check with the surgeon who removed the cyst  or another ENT or oral surgeon, who can  surgically treat the scar tissue if necessary.

Nothing, maybe.: Lymphatics are the second circulatory system in the body. They return excess fluid to the heart and they have nodes that fight infections. The tissue at the base of the tongue being prominent may just be normal anatomy for you personally or a sign of significant infectious challenge to that tissue. Your doctor who sent you for the MRI should be able to tell you whether to worry or not.

Yes: Any biopsy will heal normally with some scar tissue. This is true in the tongue or anywhere else. Like other scars a tongue scar will slowly improve with tiime.

Taste Buds: These are usually inflamed taste buds. If you notice them growing, have them checked out by your physician.

Need to address GERD: You must control acid-it will burn mouth, tongue and esophagus and dissolve your teeth. Address the causes (high acid, hiatal hernia, apnea) with rx and nutrition guides from your pcp and see dentist to support the chemistry needed to improve acid resistance of your teeth. Avoid dietary acids, carbonation, heavy spice. Consider elevated sleep (not just pillows) and dental splint to minimize wear.
