i really need some answers! why are my gums so sore after the dentist?

What procedure?: Without knowing what was done at the dental appointment, a correct answer is impossible.  If the gums is only sore temporarily, sometimes this can be expected after a good thorough deep clean, a crown cementation, or a deep cavity filled underneath the gum.  Any procedure that required working under the gum or at the gum level may cause a temporary reaction.  Call your dentist if the sore persist.

what's the best and fastest way to get rid of the pain from a sore gum due to the cap being too high? the dentist filed it down to fix it but it'sstill sore.

OTC pain meds: If the tooth is sore from being banged on by the other tooth then pain medication like tylenol, (acetaminophen) Motrin etc. If the gums are sore from being "poked" use salt water rinses.

Yes: Any surgical procedure anesthetic will help

Need to see dentist: for an examination to determine the cause so it can be treated. See if they can move your appointment sooner.

YES: Getting a filling is traumatic to the tooth and gums.  Like setting a broken bone is traumatic, just not as bad.  It will settle down in a couple of days.

Topical: This is a topical anesthetic.  Some dentist feel that its helps to numb the surface of the tissue where they are going to give you the injection (shot).

Yes, it will heal: This often happens when trying to contour a filling that extends at or below the gum line. It should heal without issue.

i think my gums are receding one of my teeth is protruding and my left gum is really sore i am so worried my tooth will come out what should i do at home to stop this i am going to dentist but anything i can do at home?

Tooth: I have been seeing patient for 30 years and I have not seen  a tooth fall out from an infection. Try NSAID orally, topical Benddryl and or benzocaine.

my gums have suddenly became sore. some bleeding at first however this has now stopped but all of my gums are left extremely sore to touch. i went to the dentist a month ago & my gums were healthy. i am b12 deficient. could low b12 levels cause this?

Do TWO things.: Start to correct your low B12 levels, and more rapid way is to inject once monthly.  (Might want to explore why levels are down.)  Secondly, re-contact your dentist and get your gingivitis under control.  Do both, do not prioritize.  All should work out.
