Soft cloth: The gums maybe inflamed, but should not bleed  Use a soft cloth to clean her teeth. Obtain an appointment with Pediatric Dentist.

See your dentist: Inflammation of the gums, of which redness is just one aspect, is a warning sign that there is a problem. It is typical of disease states like mild gingivitis, chronic periodontitis, acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (anug), and others. If you have red inflamed gums, you have a problem. Go see your dentist and get treated.

Needs further test: Has your diet changed in the past few days or weeks? Does your mouth feel dry or does it seem drier than in the past? Have you changed  your toothpaste or mouth rinse? It could be an allergy of some kind.  You might see an allergist.  You could also get the tissue biopsied to determine what's happening within the tissue.

Aphthous ulcer: It's most likely a canker sore.  It is painful, I get them sometimes when I eat acidic foods.  You can put some oil of clove on it to numb it.  It will burn a bit when you put it on but will go away within a few minutes.  If your dentist has a soft tissue laser that can also help with the healing process.  It should go away in about a week.  Hope this helps!!!

: It shouldn't. Bruxism can cause TMJ pain and pain on your teeth, but not inflamed gingiva. As I have answered to you before, see your local dentist. If it has been more than six months since a professional cleaning, now is the time.

Dentist ?: Are you currently under a dentist's care? If not, now may be the time for an appointment. At a minimum you have gingivitis, but you may also have periodontitis. Make the call....
