After a more detailed history &amp; exam a biopsy may be necessary. The growth could range from being a benign growth to cancer, or due to come infectious process or other illness. Inguinal knot: There are a few possibilities. It could very well be an enlarged lymph node. This usually happens when we become ill or have a urinary or sexually transmitted disease. Another possibility is an inguinal hernia. Questions to answer are is there fever? Pain? When does the pain come on? Go away? Any other infectious symptoms? I would see your doctor for a complete examination. Hope that helps

Don't pull on it: Needs seen. If your Dr can do cryotherapy (=freeze skin lesions), can see him/her. If not, ask local Urgent Care or see a Dermatologist to have it frozen off. This helps make sure you don't spread it to anyone else (and to discuss if any other testing in order).

found a growth on my groin area looking like a small skin tag. dermatologist biopsied and pathologist said it was a benign verrucous keratosis. is this a wart caused by hpv? they said they could do some kind of stain test to look for virus?

: The HPV strains that cause a growth in that area are not the same as those causing genital warts, All skin warts are members of the HPV family of strains. I wouldn't worry about it.

Should be ok: you are a week away from the day of operation and there will be 4 days of  Easter holiday so in fact you are 1-2 working days away from having your surgery

: You find a doctor that is willing to remove it surgically. Some general practice docs may have the equipment, but dermatologists are one specialty that removes these on a regular basis. If they evaluate it and decide you need someone else to do it they will know who is available to do the work.

Bicep and groin?: I don't know of any relationship between a bicep "lump" and a groin lymph node. This isn't a problem that can be assessed over the internet. See a physician.

i'm 23 years old male. i only have body hair growth in my legs,armpits and groin. i don't have beard growth or chest hair. is this normal or do i have some kind of hormonal problem?

: This isn't necessarily abnormal, but it's atypical at your age, especially absence of beard growth. If you have normally developed penis and testicles, normal voice change since adolescence, and normal sexual function (erections etc) and urges, it reduces the chance of a hormonal problem. If still in doubt, see an endocrinologist for professional evaluation. Good luck.
