No !: The best treatment approach for tophaceous gout is medication that lowers your uric acid level.  Allopurinol is most commonly used, but there are other drugs as well.  Left untreated, you run the risk of progression joint destruction.

Doubt gout: Gout is extremely rare in a 34 year woman. Therefore i doubt that they are tophi but that is an easy question to answer if you see a rheumatologist.If your great toe is not swollen, very tender to the touch and very painful it is not gout.

There are safe ways to manage this with medications such as Allopurinol and uloric. Without treatment you runs the risk of having a deforming type of gout that can be associated with disability.

Usually not: Osteophytes are usually present on osteoarthitis, gout produce small cystic formations around the joint and some times calcifications, they can coexist in a given joint.
No cure for oa however they are  measures theat can control symptoms.Treatment for gout is usually medication with diet and life style modification.
